Cross Lutheran Milwaukee

Ascension has been in partnership with Cross Lutheran Church in Milwaukee for many years. Cross is located in an area of high poverty. Its ministry to the local community is one of constant challenge and change. What does it mean to be partners? We share joys and challenges and currently work with Cross in three different ways: 1) Hands-on volunteering, preparing or serving at their meal program or their jobs program (suspended currently due to covid). 2) Gifts in-kind, donating food to their food pantry. 3) Financial, committing support in our Ascension budget.
