Partners AFAR Dinner & Auction: Buy your tickets this Sunday for the AFAR Dinner & Auction and join the Penny War between the pastors! Tickets are also available from the church office during office hours through Tuesday. $15 per adult, $10 children 12 & under, or $45 per family. A limited amount of tickets will be available at the door. We need your help to make all this fun happen! Sign-up online if you can help. The evening begins with the social hour at 5 p.m. with appetizers while you browse the auction and raffle. At 6 p.m., the dinner menu features lasagna and chicken alfredo, with buttered noodles and gluten-free options available as well. Following dinner, we’ll see which pastors will get pied in the face and enjoy trivia games. Childcare will be available.

Children’s Ministry: Come and join us Sunday, May 17, after the first service (9:45-ish) for our Popcorn, Popsicle, and Praise Palooza! There will be face painting, tie-dyeing, snacks, and more! This is not the Sunday to wear your favorite or dressiest outfit — come get messy with us! Can’t wait to see you there!

Summer Worship Schedule: Our summer worship schedule begins on Pentecost Sunday, Memorial Day weekend, Sunday, May 24, when our worship schedule moves to 8:30 and 10 a.m. We will use these worship times through Labor day weekend. Outdoor Worship also begins on Sunday, May 24, when we will celebrate our first outdoor worship service of the season at 10 a.m. in the Memorial Gardens. Enjoy the beautiful weather and bring your own chairs or blankets!

JOLT: In May, JOLT will meet Thursdays, May 7 and 14, 6-7:30 p.m. May 14, is the last JOLT for the season and parent/guardian and students are invited for games, faith moments, and other shenanigans.

CRASH: 8th grade students are invited to the CRASH meeting on Sunday, May 17, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Come and learn about CRASH!

Young at Heart: On May 20, Young at Heart meets for their potluck luncheon and Roger Boll will play his accordion after lunch. We invite all 55+ members and their friends and neighbors to come for good fellowship, good food and good music!

Bunco: Join a fun group of people for bunco on Wednesday, May 27, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Synod Youth Event at Ascension: On Sunday, May 31, from 3 to 6 p.m., the Greater Milwaukee Synod is excited to offer an event with renowned Salvadoran artist, Pastor Christian Chavarria. Pastor Christian will teach participants how to create their own cross in the iconic Salvadoran folk art style. A pupusa dinner will be provided. This event is primarily for CRASH students, but JOLT students and young adults are welcome to attend to. Please sign-up online.

Senior Toweling: We are preparing for Senior Toweling on Sunday, June 7, at all three services. Please let us know if you’re attending toweling and which service you will be attending so we can have our plans in place. You are also invited to share a picture of your graduating senior along with after graduation plans emailed to the church office.

NAMI Follow Up: Vanessa Giraldez, NAMI Program Coordinator, our presenter last Sunday, has sent additional information that might be helpful.
* NAMI of Southeast Wisconsin Support Groups: In-person and virtual groups that can support family members. Groups are led by those with lived experience.
* Family and Friends Workshop, May 18, 5:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waukesha. NAMI Family & Friends is a free seminar that informs and supports people who have loved ones with a mental health condition. A light supper will be provided. Register by May 11.

Food Donations Needed: The bins for the Food Pantry and the Blessing Box are very low. Please remember to pick up a couple of extra non-perishable items when you are shopping. Please put them in the marked bins in the Donation Center.
