CRASH

CRASH is our high school program at Ascension: Christians Reaching and Sharing Hope. All 9^th – 12 grade students are invited to share in this ministry. We gather for Bible Study, share in worship, serve our community, and explore the hard questions of this life in a safe and honest community of students led by the Director of Youth Ministries. Mission trips, retreats, servant events, and worship experiences gather to provide a program year full of surprises. Every three years Ascension attends the ELCA Youth Gathering, where 30-34,000 other high school students from around the nation come together to worship, learn, serve, and experience the presence of Jesus. In 2021, the ELCA Youth Gathering will be hosted in Minneapolis, MN at the US Bank Stadium and Minneapolis Convention Center.

9^th Grade Stepping Stone: A celebration of the completion of a student’s journey through JOLT that offers the creation of their Faith Statement shared in worship with prayer and the laying on of hands.

12^th Grade Stepping Stone: A celebration of graduation where each graduating senior is invited to kneel and prayed over and sent with a towel into the world as a reminder that we are servants, one to another. We model the teaching of Jesus where he washed the disciples’ feet at the Last Supper.
