El Salvador Summer Trip: Are you interested in traveling to El Salvador? We are going to El Salvador again at the end of July / beginning of August. Join us for an informational meeting on Sunday, Jan. 19, between services. Contact Sarah Wehmeier Aparicio with questions.

Tanzania Trip Sharing: Rick Frowein led a delegation to Tanzania this fall. Come and hear updates from his trip on Sunday, Jan. 26, between services.

Blessing Box Under Repair: We’re repairing the Blessing Box doors. In the meantime, put donations in the Donation Center. Also, due to freezing, please only donate dry, boxed goods. Even cans are freezing in this cold weather. They end up bulging and then leaking, spoiling the food.

CRASH Souper Bowl Fundraiser: Let’s huddle up for the Souper Bowl! Join us for soup and fellowship on Saturday, Feb.1, at 5 p.m. We are looking for teams to make soup and for individuals to donate desserts for our silent auction. Stop by our table in the narthex for tickets or team sign-up! See Scott Greger or Pastor Edwin with any questions.

2025 No Regrets Men’s Conference Feb. 1: AMen Ministry is offering Elmbrook Church’s No Regrets conference here at Ascension in a small group format on Saturday, Feb. 1, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participation will be limited to 20 participants to enhance the small group setting. There is no charge but registration is required. To register, please email Al Maechtle and include your name and phone number. You may also register online. Breakfast and snacks will be served. The theme this year is Rescued by God. Tickets to participate at the Elmbrook Church location are available through Elmbrook.

JOLT: JOLT will meet on Thursdays, Jan. 16 and 30. There will be no JOLT on Thursday, Jan. 23

CRASH: CRASH will meet this Sunday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m.

Blessing Bags: We are collecting items to fill Blessing Bags for the homeless. Items requested: gallon Ziplock bags, warm socks, warm mittens and hats, hand and foot warmers, hygiene products (small size), simple snacks. See the January newsletter for more details. We are also looking for individuals or a small group who would be willing to pack the bags so they can be delivered to our partners. Contact Shirley Wehmeier if you can help.

Mission/Serve Meeting: Mission Outreach/Serve Committee will meet on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m. You are welcome to join us to learn more about our missions in the community and in the world.
