Lenten Soup Supper & Worship: Join us Wednesday nights in Lent at 6 p.m. for soup supper followed by worship at 6:45 p.m. Don’t forget to sign-up to bring soup or bread or set-up/clean-up.
Photo Directory: We’re putting together a photo directory for the church. To get your picture taken, please see Adam Boales in the Conference Room on Sunday between services or immediately following 10:45 worship. You may also submit a photo of your own by email to Amy Gilgenbach.
Ascension Wear Sale: Are you looking for an Ascension polo, sweatshirt or pullover? Check out this link to see what’s available and order by April 6.
Easter Lily Donations: We’re collecting donations for Easter lily on Sundays or online. The cost is $16 and you can take it home after worship on Easter Sunday. Join us in bringing beauty to the Easter sanctuary.
Thursday Morning Worship: Join us on Thursday mornings in Lent for a half-hour worship service from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be music, congregational singing, Scripture readings, a brief message, a time for prayer, and communion each week.
Young at Heart Lambeau Tour Sign-Up: This Sunday between services, you will have the opportunity to sign-up for the Young at Heart trip to Lambeau Field in June. See Celeste Defenbaugh at the Welcome Desk on Sunday for more information.
Men’s Bible Study: A men’s group bible study is forming on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. (bi-weekly) at Ascension beginning April 1st. Please contact Steve Boyer with your interest in attending.
SOPHIA Immigration Task Force: This group will meet on Tuesday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. Join us if you’re interested in helping to provide advocacy, education and accompaniment for immigrants and refugees throughout the area.
SOPHIA Community Breakfast & Silent Auction: SOPHIA is hosting its annual Community Breakfast on Saturday, May 3, at La Casa de Esperanza. We would love to have a full table of Ascension members. You can buy tickets ($50) at the SOPHIA website. The keynote speaker is Darryl Morin, president of Forward Latino and an advocate for Latino immigrants and their value to our communities.
Auction Donations Needed: There will be an online silent auction preceding the breakfast. Ascension will be donating a basket titled A Taste of Wisconsin and we would welcome any donations of Wisconsin made food and drink items. Contact Joan Mikecz if you can help or have something else to donate. Please get donations to Joan by April 10.
Sing for a Season: Join the Ascension Choir and sing for Holy Week. Rehearse with us on Tuesdays from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. March 11 through April 8. Sing for Palm Sunday April 13, Maundy Thursday April 17, Good Friday April 18, and Easter Sunday April 20. Contact Vicki Taylor with questions or to join.
Children’s Choir Resumes! The Children’s Choir will rehearse Thursdays through April 10, from 5:15 to 6 p.m. All children in grades K-5 are invited to join us. Questions to Vicki Taylor.
First Communion Stepping Stones: The First Communion Stepping Stone prepares children and families for First Communion. This stepping stone culminates with the celebration of First Communion on Sunday, April 6. Contact Pastor Tony with questions.
