Forgiveness is tricky. We want it for ourselves. We expect it from others. We believe we deserve it. Made it to church on time. I sing in the choir. Okay, Lord, I will even make a newborn kit. Does that get me out of this jam? The forgiveness is waiting, right? Yes, but not for anything you have done. But only because of what Jesus has done.
