“No slave can serve two masters,” says Jesus, “for a slave will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.” We cannot serve both God and wealth, but we can serve God with the wealth of welcome we ourselves have received from God. And that, I believe, will be enough. Afterall, this is Ascension. It’s what we do!  Amen.
