JOLT: There will be no JOLT on Oct. 22 due to school break.

Sunday, Oct. 25
* Calling All Ghosts & Goblins: JAM, BLAST, and JUMP students are invited to wear their costumes on Sunday as we celebrate Reformation Sunday. A chance to wear masks as we remember Jesus’s words that “the truth will set us free” which for adults and young people alike is our reminder that the removing of the “masks” we wear help us to live freely as God’s chosen and beloved as God calls us each by name.
* Noisy Offering: Bring your change!
* We will also celebrate Confirmation at both 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services.
* Young at Heart will leave for their trip at noon from church. Please arrive 11:30-11:45 a.m. The bus will park on Dopp. Park in the church lots whenever space is available.

Youth Gathering: Priority registration for the Youth Gathering 2027 begins on Oct. 21 and closes on Nov. 11. We want to register our group at the beginning of this window. Please let Pastor Edwin know if your students will participate. He will register all the students. A $200 deposit is required to do the registration. If financial assistance would be helpful, please let Pastor Edwin know.

Sing for a Season & Youth Choirs: Ascension’s Advent Concert Worship services will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 13, at 9:30 a.m. and you’re invited to sing with us! The Ascension Choir (9th grade through adult) rehearses from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 4-18, and Dec. 9; Saturday, Nov. 14, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with food and fellowship; and Tuesdays, Nov. 24 and Dec. 1, 7-8:30 p.m. Contact Vicki Taylor to join.

Youth and Children’s Choirs rehearse Thursdays, Nov. 5 through Dec. 10 (no rehearsal on Nov. 26) and will sing for the Advent Concert Worship on Dec. 12/13.

Monday Night AMEN Bible Study: You’re invited! Ascension Men (AMEN) will be starting a study of Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians (The Bible Project by Tim Mackie) on Monday, Oct. 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Conference Room. All men are invited to participate. Bring a Bible.

Budget & Annual Meetings: Join us as we prepare for 2027 at Ascension. Members are invited to a budget listening session on Sunday, Nov. 8, between services. The listening session is an opportunity for members of the congregation to review the budget and ask questions before it is presented at the Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting will be on Sunday, Nov. 15, between services. We’ll vote for the 2027 church council, the budget and see what’s planned.

Membership Directory: Have you moved, or changed you email address or phone number? Please let us know by Nov. 2 as we’re getting ready to publish a 2026 directory. You can respond online, by phone to 262-547-8518, or email to the church office.

Healing Hearts Meal: We will serve our next meal at Healing Hearts on Monday, Nov. 2. Sign-up to donate food or to volunteer to serve. The meals are simple but the children and parents look forward to having a homemade meal before their groups. Plus it’s a great way to get to know other Ascension people. Contact Amy Smith with questions.

Walking Group: Join others in a chance to enjoy the beautiful fall colors, meet new people and get some healthy exercise. The group will meet on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. near the Frame Park playground starting this week. If you have questions, contact Sharon Coralline. Bring a friend.

Food Donations Needed: The need for food continues to grow. Please bring your donations for the Food Pantry or the Blessing Box to the Donation Center. Donations can also be put directly in the Blessing Box if you see that it is running low on supplies.

Livestreaming: We offer livestreaming on our YouTube channel of our worship services so you can join virtually.
