Spirit Spinners

outreach for hope bike rideBob Stoll and Dave McAdow are re-launching Ascension’s Spirit Spinner Bike Club with periodic family rides throughout the summer.

Generally, we’ll meet at 1 p.m. at Sunset Park on the southwest corner of Waukesha, nestled next to the Glacial Drumlin Trail.  Entry to the park is off of Sunset Drive and is about a mile west of the junction of Sunset Drive and Merrill Hills Drive. The park has a playground area for kids, shelter, and restrooms plus, easy access to the Glacial Drumlin Trail out the back side of the park.

We are especially urging families of all ages to gather, make new friends, or bring friends with you.  The pace will be whatever feels right as we travel as far west on the Glacial Drumlin as you care to go…and of course return.  If everything works out, we’ll plan for a few more rides as the summer rolls out.

For the first ride, if your bike needs its tires pumped up or MINOR adjustments, come 30 minutes early and we’ll share some of our hot air with you. We promise no fast pace, just fun, go at your own speed as far as you’d like.

With the first ride, we might ask you what we can do to interest you and others in future rides but otherwise, we launch you with a prayer for safe travels and then enjoy the day.  Please bring your helmets.

No obligation expected but if you think you’ll participate, or if you have any questions, please email Bob Stoll.
